Routes

PMC Unpaved Routes
The Raven: 30 Miles
The Raven is the shorter PMC Unpaved route – approximately 30 miles – but don’t let the distance fool you: with almost 3,000 feet of climbing, this is a challenging ride! Starting and finishing at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac in Stockbridge, MA, participants will travel roads that are more than 40% gravel or packed dirt; the remainder are paved but generally uncrowded. Expect some climbs that are long, some that are short but steep, and all are followed by exhilarating descents. The Raven will take riders through forests, past farms and ponds, and along some of the prettiest country roads in the Berkshires, even into New York State, if only for ½ mile.
This route includes two water stops with food, drinks, restrooms, and medical and mechanical support.
The Eagle: 50 Miles
The Eagle, the longer PMC Unpaved route at roughly 50 miles, is not for the faint of heart! With about 5,000 feet of climbing, it’s only recommended for experienced riders: please don’t make this one your first gravel ride that’s this long and steep.
Starting and finishing at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, participants will travel roads that are more than 40% gravel or packed dirt; the remainder are paved but generally uncrowded. The Eagle overlaps with most of the shorter Raven route, but it adds approximately 20 miles of rural roads in the wilds of New York State!
The route includes three water stops with food, drinks, restrooms, and medical and mechanical support.
